Disarticulated Homo ergaster Skeleton, KNM-WT 15000 "Nariokotome Boy", SC-012-D This Disarticulated Homo ergaster Skeleton was discovered in 1984 in Nariokotome, Kenya by Richard Leakey (and described as H. erectus). This is the first skeleton dated before 100,000 years that is complete enough to get accurate measurements to determine brain size. These skeletal parts recovered gave anthropologists a great deal of information regarding size, stature, age of death (probably 12 or 13 years) and whether or not language was possible. Some bones reveal a greater ability to run than modern humans, and some reveal a closer affinity to australopithecines. Also available as a custom articulation SC-012-A. Custom Mounting Available for All Skeletons, Please Inquire Individual bones also available. Please see below. See also our Primate Postcranial catagory. |
