American Robin Skull BC-168 American Robins are common throughout North and Central America, with their range extending to Alaska. They live in human gardens and fields but prefer dense wooded areas to build nests and raise their young. They are commonly seen on lawns searching for worms, grubs and other insects, but the majority of their diet is fruit. They have a dull red breast and belly with a black or dark gray head. The lifespan of this social bird averages two years in the wild. |
