Human Male Asian Articulated Skeleton SC-092-A This is an excellent example of an adult male skeleton and is the best reproduction available for teaching advanced anatomy. With the diminished availability of natural bone skeletons, Bone Clones® products are increasingly used in advanced anatomical and osteological instruction. Assessment of sex is best done through an evaluation of all available skeletal elements. That said, the pelvis is the most reliable element to distinguish male and female. Pelvic features consistent with a determination of male include a heart-shaped pelvic inlet, rugged innominate bones, a vertically extended illium, a narrow sciatic notch, an acute subpubic angle, and a long, narrow sacrum. Determination of stature is based on measurements of the long bones in the right arm and leg. These measurements suggest that the individual stood between 172 cm and 187 cm tall (5' 8" to 6' 1 ˝"). (The preceding paragraph is based on a report prepared especially for Bone Clones by our Consultant Osteologist.) SC-092-A is a good counterpart to the Bone Clones® adult female skeleton SC-211-A, the pair providing the option of studying and comparing the anatomy of each sex. Both skeletons are available disarticulated SC-092-D and in a Half version SC-092-DH (which is actually more than half of the human body). We can substitute a Calvarium Cut Skull for an additional price. Please add this to the comments section during the order process, or call our toll free number, 800-914-0091, to order. To facilitate moving the skeleton, we include a custom-made, five-footed durable and stable stand on wheels. Human Male Asian Articulated Skeleton Larger View.
