Mandrill Baboon Pelvis and Femur KO-210-PF Mandrill Baboons and drills, the largest of the monkeys, belong to the cercopithecine family, a modern group that originated in Africa and now range throughout Asia except in high latitudes. These noisy, gregarious, curious and adaptive generalists have doglike faces, walk on all fours and are mostly terrestrial. The baboon's skeletal structure shows modifications for walking on land (rather than in trees). Our baboon pelvis and femur are from the same individual as our baboon skull, BC-010. Femur also available separately. Please check out our Primate Postcranial category for additional primate pelvis assemblies, femurs and sets. We take great care to produce the highest quality Bone Clones® osteological replicas, capturing the texture and detail of the original bone. Mandrill Baboon Pelvis and Femur Larger Image (41K). |
