Disarticulated Orangutan Hand KO-202-D Disarticulated hand from our Orangutan skeleton, SC-002-A. Also available articulated, KO-202. In Malay, the word for orangutan means "old man of the forest". The only truly arboreal ape, the Orangutan is the largest animal living in the forest canopy, and rarely descends to the ground. Incapable of knucklewalking like the African Great Apes, Orangutans keep their hands and feet curled up when moving on the ground. Excellent for comparative study, Bone Clones, Inc. produces articulated and disarticulated Bone ClonesŪ hands and feet from all of the complete skeletons we produce. Please check out the rest of the Primate Postcranial category for additional Great Ape hands and bones and sets. See also Related Products, below. If you do not see what you need, please inquire. As always, we strive for exceptional quality in our products. Our exacting casts capture the subtle textures and details of the original bone, and we use the finest resins for our Bone ClonesŪ replicas. |
