Human Adult Female Pelvis and Femur KO-193-PF Our Human Adult Female Pelvis and Femur are of exceptional quality. The Human Adult Female Pelvis is composed of two innominate bones and the sacrum. The three bones of the innominate are usually fused by puberty (between the ages of 12 and 17). The sciatic notch widens at puberty in the female, while it remains narrow in the male. This pelvis illustrates some typical features of a female: broad body of pubis, broad subpubic angle, small and somewhat angular obturator foramina, wide and shallow greater sciatic notch, short sacrum, among other features. In the absence of a pelvis, the femur may be used to estimate sex, with the assumption being that males are larger than females. Please compare with our Human Adult Male Pelvis and Femur SC-092-PF. As always, we strive for exceptional quality in our products. Our exacting casts capture the subtle textures and details of the original bone, and we use the finest resins for our Bone Clones® replicas. Human Adult Female Pelvis and Femur Larger Image.
