Australopithecus afarensis, "Lucy" Innominate and Sacrum KO-036-PS 1/2 innominate and sacrum set from the Australopithecus afarensis A.L. 288-1 skeleton known as Lucy. Discovered by Donald Johanson in 1974 in Ethiopia, Lucy, at 3.2 million years, has been considered the first human ancestor .
