Australopithecus afarensis, "Lucy", Femur KO-036-F Femur from the Australopithecus afarensis A.L. 288-1 skeleton known as Lucy. Discovered by Donald Johanson in 1974 in Ethiopia Lucy, at 3.2 million years, has been considered the first human.
