Common American Beaver Skull BC-101E The largest rodent in North America, the semi-aquatic beaver can weigh up to 60 pounds. It is an excellent swimmer, using its webbed back feet and paddle-like tail to maneuver through the water. Its chisel-like incisors, which never stop growing, make quick work of downing most trees. These incisors, protruding in front of their lips, allow the beaver to work underwater with its mouth closed. Underwater, its nose and ears have valves shutting out the water, allowing the beaver to stay submerged for 15 minutes. The Bone Clones® Economy Series - Our goal with this series is to produce affordable quality replicas for zoos, museum discovery centers, schools, artists, etc., so that a new generation of enthusiasts can learn about nature. All Bone ClonesŪ Economy Series skulls are made from the same molds, following the same procedures as our regular Bone ClonesŪ replicas except we do not tool or finish these skulls to the same detail. We still select only the finest specimens to cast, and carefully prepare each mold to capture the original's structure and texture. We presently offer some common North American animals and select human sets in this series. View The Economy Series Catalog, Click Here. |
